USE AND MAINTENANCE OF SAFELAB PRODUCTS
Braking system

The braking system developed by Safelab Srl allows the driver to brake, accelerate or completely stop the pace of the toboggan, without any effort and in maximum safety.
The pace is regulated by the rescuer by acting with the thumb finger on the stick located at the top of the handle: a push to the right and the system brakes, a push to the left the system accelerates.
It should be noted that the stick acts on the electronics in on-off mode and this in practice means that the system will not act like the accelerator of a motorbike or a car, but rather with impulses corresponding to the operating time of the stick itself .

-
l'unità di controllo trasmette i segnali agli attuatori
-
gli attuatori muovono di conseguenza i ripper.
Brake
The brake is made up of two independent actuators that act on the two 40mm wide rippers and moved up to a depth of 90mm.
The motors are powered by a 12 VDC battery and develop a force of 1000 N at an operating speed of 6 mm/sec.
This solution guarantees braking capabilities on all types of snow cover: from pure ice to very wet spring snow, or powdery snow.
It goes without saying that the braking power of this brake, like any other type of brake, is inevitably conditioned by the stability of the snow cover itself: no type of brake can brake if it acts on a moving surface!
Based on the above, it is strongly recommended to conduct the toboggans by choosing the route that has the most compact snow possible.
