Hull maintenance

 

The hull is produced in composite material, namely carbon fibre, glass fiber and Kevlar.

 

The result of this composition is a very resistant, light and hard structure.

 

This last characteristic is the one that can contribute over time to wear of the bottom in contact with the snow.

Surfacing rocks, small stones and other abrasive materials can, over time, produce various scratches and abrasions.

If deemed appropriate, these imperfections can be repaired by applying, after light sanding, one or two layers of two-component epoxy paint.

The "recovery" operation can be carried out by anyone with experience in the painting sector and respecting all parameters relating to safety and pollution.

 

Where, due to exceptional reasons, significant damage occurs such as breakages or holes in the layer, we recommend contacting Safelab Srl to carry out the appropriate repairs.

 

On the support surface of the toboggan there are double-sided "female" Velcro tapes necessary for fixing the EVA rubber mat.

Depending on the type of exposure to atmospheric agents, over the years it may happen that the bonding of the Velcro may undergo alterations.

When it is deemed necessary to replace the Velcro, it will be sufficient to manually remove the old Velcro by washing the surface of the carbon top with alcohol or chemical solvent.

In its place, glue the new "female" replacement Velcro again.
